Cancellation & Refund Policy – The Trippers
At The Trippers, we value your trust and understand that travel plans can change. Our cancellation and refund policy is designed to provide clarity, fairness, and flexibility, while also ensuring that the commitments we make to our partners (hotels, transport providers, etc.) are respected.
This policy applies to all bookings made directly with The Trippers via our website, social media, or authorized representatives.
1. General Guidelines
- All cancellation requests must be sent to us in writing via email or WhatsApp from the registered contact details used at the time of booking.
- Refund eligibility depends on the type of booking (fixed departure group tour or customized/private tour) and the time of cancellation.
- Refunds are processed only after receiving confirmation of cancellation from The Trippers.
- Convenience/transaction charges, if any, are non-refundable.
2. Cancellation by Traveler
A) Fixed Departure Group Tours
- 30 days or more before departure → 80% of the package cost refundable
- 15–29 days before departure → 50% of the package cost refundable
- 7–14 days before departure → 25% of the package cost refundable
- Less than 7 days before departure or No Show → No refund
B) Customized / Private Tours
- 45 days or more before departure → 80% of the package cost refundable
- 30–44 days before departure → 60% of the package cost refundable
- 15–29 days before departure → 40% of the package cost refundable
- Less than 15 days before departure or No Show → No refund
3. Cancellation by The Trippers
While we strive to operate all tours as planned, circumstances beyond our control may require cancellation.
- If The Trippers cancels a trip due to operational reasons, insufficient group size, or unforeseen circumstances, travelers will receive a 100% refund of the paid amount.
- Alternatively, guests can choose to reschedule or transfer their booking to another departure/package of equal value.
4. Non-Refundable Components
Certain elements of a travel package are arranged with third-party vendors and are non-refundable:
- Air tickets, train tickets, and permits once issued
- Special activity bookings (e.g., safaris, treks, adventure sports)
- Hotel bookings subject to individual property cancellation rules and convenience charges may apply
These charges will be deducted from the total refundable amount, if applicable.
5. Refund Processing & Timelines
- Refunds will be initiated within 10–15 business days after confirmation of cancellation.
- Refunds will be made to the original mode of payment used at the time of booking.
- In case of payments made via third-party platforms (Razorpay, PayU, Paytm, etc.), processing timelines may vary as per their policies.
6. Amendments & Rescheduling
- Requests for amendments (change in dates, itinerary, or inclusions) are subject to availability and additional costs, if any.
- Any amendments made within 7 days of departure will be treated as a cancellation, and the new plan will be considered a fresh booking.
7. Force Majeure
The Trippers shall not be liable to refund payments or provide compensation in case the tour is affected due to circumstances beyond our control, including but not limited to:
- Natural calamities (earthquakes, floods, landslides, etc.)
- Political unrest, strikes, riots, or government regulations
- Epidemics, pandemics, or health emergencies
- Flight cancellations or delays by airlines
In such cases, we will make every effort to assist travelers with alternate arrangements, subject to availability and additional costs.
8. Early Departure & Unused Services
- If a traveler chooses to leave the tour midway for personal reasons, no refund will be provided for the unused portion of the trip.
- Similarly, if any included services (meals, transfers, sightseeing, activities, etc.) are skipped voluntarily, no partial refund will apply.
9. Special Notes
- All refund amounts are calculated on the total package cost and not on individual components.
- For group tours, replacement of a traveler with another participant may be allowed (subject to approval and additional costs, if any).
- Travel insurance, if purchased, will be governed by the insurer’s terms & conditions.
